LoL - All this in a map area that's so small would send me crazy seeing the same scenery all the time. Okay the UK may be small but we have nearly 250 thousand miles of roads.

Instead of 250+ cars, why not just make the map bigger. Fewer miles than the last version.

LoL - Think I must be in uncool mode. aka missCOOLcat - haha

At Microsoft's X018 conference, the company announced the first big expansion for Forza Horizon 4. The DLC is called Fortune Island, and it's set to launch on December 13. It keeps you racing through the UK but takes you to some northern British Isles with particularly craggy mountainsides and dangerous weather like lightning storms. The new setting isn't without its peaceful charms, though, as you'll be able to witness the aurora borealis.

Naturally, Fortune Island will come alongside a new set of cars to drive as well. The game has already started rolling out the five custom-built Ford vehicles from the GymkhanaTEN video series. Car Pass members can already grab the 1977 Ford GymkhanaTEN, F-150 Hoonitruck, and the 1993 Ford Escort Cosworth Group A. Later this month they can also get the 1965 Ford Hoonicorn Mustang V2 and the 2017 Ford Fiesta RS, followed by the 2016 Ford GymkhanaTEN Focus RS RX in December.

Fortune Island is part of the expansions bundle for $35, which is available for Ultimate Edition owners at no additional cost. If you're a Game Pass subscriber, you've already gotten access to Forza Horizon 4 as part of your subscription, and you can get the expansions as a bundle or individually for 10% off.

Setting the expansion in the rocky north should prove a challenge for experienced racers, especially given the game's marquee feature of changing seasons. GameSpot's Forza Horizon 4 review found the seasons had a real impact on gameplay, and contributed to a diversity of race types.

My 2cents on this game:

Directx12 makes this game look really nice, the auctions are cool, I like basically everything about this game except the car physics and as mentioned here map size is to small. Even with driving assist. on it's bad. The physics make it a real challenge in keeping your car on the road and not drifting, while I like to drift just not all the time and I don't like having to fight my cars from not drifting. The car should hold the road till I want to drift and I break the tires free but that's not how this game works. You have to drive on your toes to keep your car tires from breaking loose out from under you.

Watch me try to drive the 65 mustang, the mustang does not handle like this, it's a real challenge trying to keep it str8 without drifting. Fun for about 30min then it's annoying aaf.

Another thing about FH4 is not having ingame text chat, not everybody likes voice chat 24/7. You have to go back and forth from the game to chat to communicate a huge pain in the arse and for some it causes wheel issues with ffb.

My sim racing days have long passed, I have zero interest in driving in a circuit circle race and don't care for the REAL physics anymore. I'm looking to have some fun not fight my car to stay on the road or from doing what I want it to. FH4 physics are very disappointing to me.
