Some days ago SCS hinted the next ETS2 map expansion in a teaser trailer. Until now there are no specific map areas announced but according to the surrounding and the music most players assume it is somewhere on the Balkans or at least somewhere in the south east of Europe. But if you try to forget the music for a second I think it could be Spain/Portugal as well.
Here is the teaser trailer, what do you think?

That's a very strange video.
On ETS2 I have now gone online. Been playing for about 2 weeks so far and has been very friendly. The occasional wait at the docks as some times there are 10-20 lorries waiting - lol -
I set a new profile for online, but you can still play with both your original profile off-line as well as the new profile. No AI when playing online.

With the update 1.35 SCS releases one of the biggest updates ever for the ETS 2.
Map expansion in Italy
Italy will receive a little map as addition for free for everyone who bought the Italia expansion: the island of Sardinia will be added with the update. 3 new Cities will find the way into the game - Cagliari, Olbia and Sassari, next to some smaller Villages. There are no highways on the island, only smaller rural roads. You can reach the island with a ferry from Napoli or Palermo.
Revisiting Germany Vol. 2
After they began to rebuild the net of the German Autobahn in version 1.32 they continue this work in the 1.35 update.
This means in the update we will get (only with the yellow roads shown on the map):
more than 2000 ingame-km of Autobahn recontructed
new Autobahns with gentle curves
2 completely new Autobahns (A38 and A71)
open landscapes & panoramic views
brand new landmarks
a major rebuild in Nürnberg
typical "Autohof" service stations
New Trailers
A bunch of new trailers from Krone and Schwarzmüller will be added in 1.35. This includes the introduction of Gigaliners (Double Trailers) for Germany and the Netherlands. And now you can buy the Schwarzmüller trailers for your own garage.
New roads in France
France gets some new roads as well. First one is a connection between the A6 and the A10 and the second one is a connection between the A6 and the N44. One of the roads will be part of the roads you can use with the base game and onee you can use with Vive la France expansion.
Some more stuff added
external jobs (World of Trucks jobs) with own trailers
new random events
changes in garage management, including possibility of garage online purchases, so you don't have to drive to a garage to buy it
copy trailer configuration (color etc...) in garage
little changes in design of job menu
new possibilities of service: emergency fuel refilling
DX11 compatibility
new wiper settings
Special Transport jobs for Baltic DLC
new Special Transport jobs in reconstructed Germany
route advisor sounds
and many more small changes
All of the changes you can try in the currently on Steam available ETS 2 beta build.
You are more in American Trucks? No problem, the ATS will receive the 1.35 update as well.
The 1.35 for ATS is not that huge as the one for ETS2, but still enough to make it worth to get to the next version number. Many of the changes are the same as in the ETS2 update.
Changes:
new trailers (B-Doubles, new Container Trailers a.m.m.)
new trailers for upcoming Washington DLC
new roads for Oregon DLC: OR-58, OR-140, CA-299 (from Redding (CA) to Oregon)
external jobs for own trailers
changes in garage management (same as in ETS2)
copy configuration in garage (same as in ETS2)
little changes in design of job menu
new possibilities of service: emergency fuel refilling and trailer adjustment
DX11 compatibility
new wiper settings
route advisor sounds
and many more small changes
Also the ATS 1.35 is currently available on the Steam Beta branch, just download and try everything you want.

I picked up ATS been playing about a week now it's a total blast, very addictive. I'm also connected to World of Trucks. Did a few Christmas runs with the lite up presents trailer LOL it's really a lot of fun.
I forgot to mention there is a multiplayer mod if you are interested in driving with friends. TruckersMP I tried this mod it would cause my other mods to not be seen, a restart of the game fixed it. But it happens all the time. Another thing is the server rules are very strict. I was in the truck dealer customizing the car that the mod added, I guess I took to long in customizing because I got ejected and that was the last time I played it. Not very relaxed game play and not for me which is why I removed it. But you guys might like playing on a timer.

Hi Ralph,
Welcome to the truckers world - lol
Iv'e also noticed that the graphics aren't as good when using TruckerMP.
As you may have noticed some sections of the road don't turn yellow, but if you have the time when on a job you can pull up and leave your trailer there so it may be possible to go over the bits that its missed - lol - I reverse along freeways and even drive the wrong way to get the roads and service areas done.
The buildings and most areas are a lot more detailed in ATS compared to ETS - boo -
Happy trucking

I play ATS off and on, been a bit lazy about it lately, but I have like 10+ garages or something full of trucks and drivers, do one delivery and my drivers make enough while I rest after deliver to buy garage and stock it almost but its fun. The map actually comes through my home state, Kansas, now and has some of our local station chain pretty accurately depicted, with logo changes, etc. this is very near where I live and a pretty accurate depiction. I sent it to my buddy at their main office, it was immediately recognized, and everyone thought it was cool one of their stations was in a video game. turns out there's at least two I have found so far but I haven't finished exploring Kansas yet.
